Rocky Mountain Progressive Shootout - Saturday August 28, 2010 @ 10 AM

This competition is based on a four go Progressive, where times are not carried forward, with 100 teams competing in the first go where the top 4 teams from each herd will advance to the top 40. In the second go the top 40 teams will compete where the top 5 teams from each herd will advance to the top 20. In The third go the top 20 will compete where the top 5 teams from each each herd will advance to the top 10. The top tens teams advancing to the finals from the third go will each draw for their order of go in the herd and their cattle number
1. Teams will be posted to this site as the 100 team limit is reached and all teams are paid in full.
2. Teams cannot be entered with an unknown rider. Changes to team members or substitutions will be allowed up to Friday August 20, 2010 up to 6 pm.
3. All changes must be recorded by the entry office and the fee paid prior to entering the arena.
4. Each team must remain unique to all others in the competition and must adhere to the five (5) ride maximum per class rule. Failure to do so will result in a disqualified ride.
5. CTCPA ratings will be used, If the rider does not have a CTCPA rating the Producers of the RMPS will be responsible for rating the rider. The decision of the Rocky Mountain Progressive Shootout Producers on substitutions and ratings is final.

Fast time awards will be paid out each go and Olson Silver trophy buckles will be presented to the winning team.
RULES
Regulations:
1. Each team must include 3 riders which do not exceed a combined rating of 12
2. Each entrant can enter a maximum of five (5) times.
3. Each team must change out one rider.
4. Each team member must be declared at the time of entry.
5. Entries should be submitted through email to gieslerc@platinum.ca
6. Each team member must sign a waiver prior to entering the arena.
7. If entering online, waivers will be made available at the arena entry desk. 8. FAX AND ONLINE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OVER THE PHONE.
9. If an entry is cancelled all fees will be forfeited.
10. Should a herd fail to progress the required number of teams for the specific go, a wildcard spot from all other teams based on fastest time and number of cows penned will advance to the next round.
11. There will be zero tolerance of any inhumane treatment of horses/cattle while in the show arena or on the competition grounds. Any such action will be cause for disqualification and forfeiture of any prize monies earned. Inhumane treatment includes but is not limited to excessive jerking, pulling, kicking, slapping or whipping.
12. The Rocky Mountain Progressive Shootout Producers reserve the right to alter the above rules, number of cross-entries, entry deadlines, pay-outs etc. Any such changes will be posted on www.thomspontrainingcenter.ca
RATINGS:
1. Any penner rated by the CTCPA for 2010 will be required to use that rating.
2. Any entrant who is not rated by the USTPA or CTCPA in 2010 must contact Chris Thompson or Amy Carver in advance to receive a rating
3. Any USTPA penner with a 2010 rating of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 will be required to move their rating up one number to match the CTCPA (i.e. a USTPA rating 2 is the same as a CTCPA 3 rating). A USTPA 6 and a USTPA 7 rating will be a CTCPA 7 rating.
